The most important part of every bingo game is bingo cards, the cards using which the game is played. These cards either have pre-printed numbers on them or they are blank. A new set of cards is used for every bingo game because once marked, the card is useless and thrown away. There are also some cards that can be used for more than one game. A removable tab is used in these cards which can be removed after the completion of the game.
Some other types of cards are also available in the market which can be used in more than one game. Shutter or fingertip bingo cards can be a good example of it. These cards have a removable sticker on them, which is removed after every game. It increases the usability of the game.
At the starting of the game, every player is given a bingo card which has a 5×5 grid. Thus there are total 25 squares on every card. A number is assigned to every square except the middle square and “Free” or “Bingo” is printed in that. It indicates that the free number is a bonus for the player, and it can be used for any number.
Every column on the bingo cards has different numbers in a series. For example, the first column contains 5 numbers from the range of 1-15; second column contains other five numbers from the range of 16-30. Thus the last column contains five numbers from the range of 61-75. Also, the letters B, I, N, G and O are printed in every square.
